Star Wars: The Force Awakens Adaptation

Star Wars: The Force Awakens Adaptation by Chuck Wendig, Luke Ross

It's been three decades since the Rebel Alliance destroyed the Death Star and toppled the Galactic Empire...but now, on the remote planet of Jakku...there is a stirring in the Force. A young scavenger named Rey...a deserting storm trooper named ace pilot name Poe...and a dark apprentice named Kylo Ren... Their lives are about to collide as the awakening begins. Writer Chuck Wendig (Star Wars: Aftermath) and artist Luke Ross (Hercules) take us back into the saga of a lifetime!

This is a very direct adaptation. There are no shots that reveal something you might have missed. There are no deleted scene type moments. It does make a good refresher if the movie isn’t fresh on your mind. The art is solid and I like that it isn’t overly realistic allowing for some different expressions and interpretations. I think they did a good job of cliff notes, but I’ll take the movie any day.
