When You Reach Me by Rebecca Stead
Format: Hardcover

I need to read Madelaine L’Engle again. The Wrinkle in Time plays an interesting role in this story of time. I also like to think that the library book is Redwall but that is just me. People accuse science fiction of having no character development but L’Engle proved them wrong and Stead does too. Set in 1979 you get a mix of mystery and time travel. Miranda is a very relatable character but she is quirky and unique too. I was so impressed because I had times when I guessed at things but overall Stead kept me wondering until the very end. Short chapters make it hard to put down as you fly through. (I always mean to write these first because once I do my homework I run out of things to say even on ones I love.)
