Booking Through Thursday: Nightmare Cast
A meme from Booking Through Thursday.
Today’s topic is “And, the reverse–which actors have been particularly badly cast in roles of characters you first met in the pages of a book? Do you blame the actors or the writers and other film-people for the failure? Who would you have cast instead?”
When Brendan Fraser was first cast as Mo Folchart from Inkheart I was annoyed, but honestly I will admit he did a good job. I still think the casting was more about his name then the character. Though that reminds me of a fabulous casting that I forgot about last week, Helen Mirren as Elinor was perfect.
Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen, Kristin Stewart as Bella Swan from Twilight. I enjoyed the books the first time I read them. I feel like the movies exacerbated the creepy aspects. Kristin is emotionless and Bella is all emotion. Robert looks nothing like the descriptions of Edward… the end.
