Jon Klassen is known for his unique style of art but this is my first exposure to it. Part of the charm is in the little details of the art, the angle of a character’s eye for example. There is a simplicity as well to both the art and the story, but the story also made me chuckle. I always find it hard to review picture books, you can hardly say anything without giving a spoiler. This is the kind of book I imagine a kid flipping through over and over before they can even read it because the clear pictures let them tell themselves the story.
