First of all, this title did not mean any of the things that I thought it might mean. It was wonderful. I gasped aloud when the words were used in the book and I loved the way in which it showed an nontraditional sense of power. It still fit  the universe but… well anyway. Here we are truly at the climax. This is all out war and many will fall. There are several mini adventures before the final battle. Though really it is all building up to the final confrontation. I think that the use of the city is interesting. I would be curious to hear a New Yorker’s opinion of the use of each locale. I think Poseidon’s role is interesting as well, both the gift that he gave Percy and the choice he has to make. I’m being vague and meandery… As far as the entire series. I enjoyed each book, but I don’t think that the series overall really impresses me. I enjoy the characters but I don’t think there is one that I truly connect with is part of my issue. Don’t get me wrong. These books are wonderful but personally they are not the top of my list.
