Booking Through Thursday: Neither a Borrower…

Booking Through Thursday

A meme from Booking Through Thursday.

Today’s topic is “I’ve asked before how you feel about lending your books. I’ve asked how you feel about libraries. But—how do you feel about borrowing books from friends? Is this something you like to do? Does it make you feel uncomfortable or rushed while reading? Does it affect how you feel about the book you’re reading, pressured into liking it?”

I sometimes borrow books but so many times I buy the books I want. I only borrow books from one friend really. I’ve never felt rushed by borrowing from her. I still have books borrowed from my sister over a year or two ago somewhere. I don’t feel pressured into liking a book by borrowing it. Speaking of which I still need to borrow some more from her.

Loaning books is like loaning money. You have to be willing to lose the book or lose the friend.
Borrowing depends on who you are getting it from. If it is from my brother or my friend John they may not remember if they lent it to me or someone else and mostly would not care if the book were lost. Most of the rest of the world I will by the book or get it form the library.

  2. Good thing we don’t know who borrowed our first copy of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.
